In Wuppertal besann
sich gestern nacht ein Mann
und sprang von einer Brücke
und ging doch nicht in Stücke,
denn unten floss zum Glücke
für ihn und uns die Wupper
so gab es nur Geblubber.

to pieces in the lake.
He smiling reached the ground
with silent bubbling sound.
